History of Virtu by Bacio Boutique:
In 2005 while attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Lauren Tammariello started her own online clothing store, originally named Bacio Boutique. From the success of her online store she started participating in various street fairs in San Diego. In 2006 Bacio was booming thus came time for a brick and mortar store. May 18 , 2007 Bacio opened its doors of its very first retail location in historic downtown Escondido. After three great years in Escondido Bacio made a wonderful transformation in to Virtu by Bacio Boutique and moved to a beautiful larger location in Carlsbad Village.
What's in a name?:
Bacio's owner is of Italian descent, thus her love for her Italian heritage inspired her to give the boutique an Italianesque name. With that inspiration she came up with Bacio when translated means "Kiss." With a new location came a new name following the italianesque name tradition Virtu was selected for the new coastal location. With the Italian spelling dating back to the Renaissance meaning 'an appreciation for all things beautiful'.
